Tabaconas is a mountainous district in the San Ignacio province (Cajamarca) in northern Peru, just a short distance from the border with Ecuador. Steep slopes, misty forests, and a wide altitude range create ideal conditions for a complex and elegant Arabica. This lot comes from approximately 505 families of smallholder farmers who grow coffee in a traditional and sustainable way—often under the shade of native trees and fruit species—placing strong emphasis on selective picking and clean processing.
Why you’ll love it
Wide altitude range and microclimates = naturally complex flavor and aromatics.
Washed processing highlights clarity, structure, and readable fruit-and-floral notes.
A strong community and quality focus (payment based on lot quality) supports consistently stable results.
